The book we are reading is Exit West by Mohsin Hamid and anyone is
invited to join the conversation!
Exit West is about a young couple that meets during
turbulent times in their small city in a foreign land. As their
relationship grows, so do the conflicts around them until they are forced to
face the realities of war. Oh yeah, and there are mysterious doors.
This is a quick read, perfect for this hectic time of year. Seriously, I
finished it in one sitting. Mohsin Hamid, author of The Reluctant
Fundamentalist, writes with a casual yet beautiful voice. It’s like
your really smart friend is telling you about an interesting couple she
knows.
