Library Closed for Independence Day

Just a reminder that all branches of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System will be closed on Monday, July 4th in honor of Independence Day. Branches will reopen as regularly scheduled on Tuesday, July 5, 2011.

If you or your family is looking for some weekend activities before the 4th, check our events calendar to see what may be happening at a branch near you.

Book Fair and Author Signing

Ever thought about writing your own book but weren't sure where to start or how to get the completed project out there? Well, this upcoming book fair will have representatives from two publishing companies on hand for anyone who has questions about writing and getting published in today's publishing climate.

The Fulton County Employees Association is hosting a Book/Author Fair on June 30, 2011 in the Atrium of the Fulton County Government Center from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. More than 20 authors will be on hand to sell and autograph their books too. An excellent opportunity to network with other book-loving folks!

Father's Day @ Your Library!

Don't forget that Father's Day is this Sunday, June 19th! Why not beat the heat with a family outing to your local library to get some great books or movies to enjoy with Dad?
