Build a Better World Through Reading at the Library This Summer


Join Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System as we kick-off our annual Summer Reading Program with an exciting new celebration at Woodruff Park. For the first time ever, come "Build a Better World" with storytelling, a special visit from Word Girl from PBS Kids, Rocky the Reading Raccoon, face painting, balloon art, crafts and plenty of entertainment for the whole family. 
While you're there, you can also Build a Better You, when you participate in our fitness activities, including yoga, obstacle course, dancing and more. Snacks will be provided, or you can bring a picnic and enjoy an afternoon in the park with your family. The Library Bookmobile will also be onsite and ready to get you signed up for a library card and check out materials (books, movies, DVDs, CDs). All ages welcome!

Thursday, July 6. 4:00 p.m. Bill Packard returns to Northside with a customized program that includes storytelling, humor, magic, and more. Funded by the Library Foundation. Ages 6 and up. Northside Library 
Monday, July 31. 3:00 p.m. Northside has partnered with the Sandy Springs branch to bring you one of the south’s premiere theater companies; Bright Star Theater. They will bring Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland to life in this 45 minute adventure. Join Alice on her journey into the rabbit hole, packed with some eccentric and fantastical characters who take your audience on an imaginative ride. Ages 5-10. Northside Library
