The recent uprisings in Egypt have brought about many changes for the Egyptian people, but unfortunately not all of these have been positive. Two of Cairo's public libraries were destroyed and burned during the riots, leaving a significant group of people without access to the information and opportunities that public libraries provide. The destruction of a public library is a blow felt by all, but if we rally together and show support for these institutions, we can help open their doors once more.
